April 5, 2007 - Quarter Trivia

Well, it must be Spring Break time since we didn't get the gaggle of check-ins to tonight's net. But that's OK. It's OK to take some time off once in a while!

Tonight, we have two Trivia Questions...

TRIVIA QUESTION:

Question 1: The grooves in the edge of a quarter are called reeds. How many reeds does a quarter have?

Question 2: According to the U.S. Mint, what is the appoximate lifespan of a coin?

TRIVIA ANSWER:

Question 1: 119

Question 2: 30 years.

The other reeded coins are the dime with 118, half dollar with 150 and the dollar which has 133 reeds or groves.

For more interesting facts about our coins, vist the U.S. Mint at http://www.usmint.gov/
