June 28, 2007 -- State Density Trivia

Thanks to last week's Trivia Question, we learned that the least populated state is Wyoming and the most populated is California.

Tonight we ask...

TRIVIA QUESTION:

What state has the highest population density? In other words, what state has the most people per square mile?

TRIVIA ANSWER:

New Jersey, with 1134.4 people per square mile (according to the 2000 U.S. Census).

Rhode Island is 2nd (1003.2 people per square mile)

Massachusetts is 3rd (809.8)

California is a distand 12th (217.1)

And the least densly populated state is Alaska with 1.1 people per square mile)
